Community Guidelines

alphaTUB is a community-driven initiative for language learning

alphaTUB is passionate towards making language learning fun, easy, and engaging for everyone. Language learning at alphaTUB is community-driven action that is built upon and personalized content contributions of every participant in this eco-system. Our growing community of users contributes contextually relevant & socially responsible language learning content for all learners. Our guidelines are meant to build a mutual understanding of what being a part of this community is all about. We will act if any of these guidelines are not upheld, so please read carefully.

  • Celebrate Diversity

alphaTUB contributors come from across the world at varying language levels with the same goal in mind – to learn. Context, experiences, and social norms of different cultures are gracefully welcomed as we love to explore language in diversity. Let us respect and celebrate diversity.

  • Connect & Contribute

Language learning is a collective initiative. Early language learning is shaped by constant interactions with parents, friends, teachers, and the community. Beginners need constant support and guidance, therefore, kindly contribute, and encourage every language learner. You can make language learning interesting through storytelling.

  • Preserve, Propagate & Promote Languages

There are over 6000 languages in the world. We are on a mission to save all languages through some forthcoming innovative initiatives. We call upon community members to share with us any interesting initiative or idea through which you can contribute towards helping to preserve, propagate and promote any language.  We would like you to connect with us and other users with an open mind and attitude. Our only goal is to see that every language flourishes.

  • Think before you share

We care about your safety and privacy. As you may be sharing lots of images and contextually relevant content, try to ensure that you are not reposting, swapping, or posting any private information that could be misused. The information you post and share also includes your contact details, personal traits, age, address, or your location, or any such information like your name or school name, email, or other personal information that could put your privacy at risk. Be careful. Sharing and encouraging others to share personal data might get your account, removed.

Please don’t use alphaTUB to…

  • Attack a person or group of people with words and actions

alphaTUB is a safe place for learners of all backgrounds. Harassment and hurtful content will not be tolerated. Using symbols, names, and text that promote hate—as well as harassing, stalking, impersonating, and making sexual remarks towards someone—are considered abuse. The same goes for nudity and disturbing profile pictures and usernames. As stated in the terms, alphaTUB reserves the right to replace images or remove these accounts at its sole discretion. Rule of thumb: if you are making someone feel attacked or hurt, then you shouldn’t be doing it. We take these reports seriously and may delete your account without previous notice if such activity is verified by our team.

  • Spam the forum or people’s streams

Leaving a trail of irrelevant, abusive, illegal, or nonsensical entries in forums or anywhere on alphaTUB may get your account deleted. This includes not only creating posts without substance but any type of spamming.
It’s okay to share external resources and links. But just like with copyrighted and pirated materials, you should know that spamming, referral code hocking, advertising, and excessively promoting products/services is not acceptable and such posts and references can be removed without warning.

  • Script or cheat maliciously

alphaTUB is a community of honest learners. If you are scripting for the purposes of cheating or sharing information and instructions about using alphaTUB in a way that may impact the system, community, learning, data, or experience in a negative or significant manner, your account and posts may be removed.

  • Write inflammatory comments

Hateful, obscene, and off-topic comments don’t contribute to learning. Cursing doesn’t either (let people discover those words in the wild). Leave them out of the language discussions.

  • To Summarize

Any content which is not suitable for even a newborn baby is not tolerated at the alphaTUB platform. We respect diversity however we are firm that we do not tolerate content that is:

  • Illegal
  • Pornographic
  • Not suitable for young children
  • Excessively profane or violent
  • Spam
  • Threatening, harassing, or bullying
  • Associated with racism or intolerance
